Why is it named Gladiator Academy?
This is the poem of a Gladiator; we think it explains best why we named the academy, Gladiator Academy.
The man who goes on until he can go no further, who reaches the limit of human endurance, and then holds on another minute, has reached the minute that counts.
It is that last minute, the other side of breaking point which marks THE GLADIATOR. You can find that last minute in the hundredth man, in the soldier who exclaimed before battle: “If I fall, I’ll fight on my knees.”
Of all human qualities that have lit up the somberness of this tragic earth, I count this, of being a GLADIATOR, the happiest.
It has saved more souls than penance and punishment; it has rescued more business enterprises than shrewdness; it has won more battles and more games, and has altogether claimed more victories during trying times than any other virtue.
Most people are quitters. They reach the limit. They are familiar with the last straw. But the hundredth man is a GLADIATOR. You cannot corner him. He will not give up. Don’t try to drown him, he won’t sink. He cannot find the word “fail” in his vocabulary. He has never learned to whine.
What shall we do with him? We shall encourage, empower, equip, and inspire him to reach his highest potential! Then we shall watch as he engages the world with strength of character and faith, not only obtaining success but inspiring others to do the same.
Quick answer - Why Gladiator Academy?
Gladiator Academy’s sole existence is to help young men succeed academically and in their relationship with Jesus Christ. To this end we have partnered with Liberty University to provide a Christ centered academic focus. It is important to also mention that we are their first and only remote academy.

When you enroll your son in Gladiator academy you are joining with students studying from all 50 states and over 80 countries. More than 18,000 students are enrolled in LUOA.
What age(s) do you admit? and why?
Our beliefs and studies have lead us to the realization that the age where we can be most effective in the current state of our community is the ages of young men in 5th-12th grade.
The age range is from 10-11 (5th grade) to 17-18 (12th grade). This allows us to help build connection with them in common ground items that we as a team can relate with them.
The facts displayed over to the right come from the National Institute of Mental Health. It is these facts that allow us to help your son succeed, and deal with challenges via their relationship with Christ.

Is there a specific time I need to enroll my son?
Quick answer -
NO there is no specific time. Here is why...
At Gladiator Academy because every academic year is an individual plan for each student this gives you, as the guardian of your son, options open for the entire year. As a year round academy we are here to serve your son year round.
An academic year is defined in the completions of 6.0 credits. Those 6.0 credits are planned with your son in mind for optimal success, and can start at any time in the calendar year.
This means compared to traditional public school your son does not have to “jump” into the academic wave with 30 other students; they define their own wave and ride it in their time.
Do you offer scholarships/student sponsorship?
Scholarships and Student Sponsorship are available based on eligibility. To assure fairness every application for a sponsorship is evaluated based on income source(s), availability of scholarship funds, and scrutiny of the application based on criteria determined by our leadership.

What are your day/class schedule?

Because of individualized learning plans for each student this schedule is flexible in taskings. However the average day starts at 9:00am and ends at 3:00pm. As well the Academy is open from Tues-Friday. This gives the student flexibility and sets a pace for success.
We do not provide lunch. Students who drive in on their own often leave to get lunch and come back. This privilege is earned not guaranteed.
